Now Announcing the ‘Hope on the Run’ 5K Series

The Hope on the Run 5K Series is a community-centered running initiative designed to unite participants of all ages and abilities in support of local survivors of child abuse and children in foster care. This empowering three-race series invites runners, walkers, and supporters to hit the pavement while making a direct impact on local lives. Hosted in a county-wide partnership with Bridge A Life, the Child Protection Center, and The Twig, the Hope on the Run 5K Series celebrates compassion, community engagement, and active support for family programs. Every stride taken in the series contributes to vital services for children and families touched by adversity across Sarasota, North Port, and Venice, Florida.

2026 Race Schedule:

  • Superhero Fun Run/5K – February 7, Sarasota
  • Runaway Pumpkin 5K & Family Fest – October 31, North Port
  • Turkey Trot 5K – November 21, Venice

Participants can register for one, two, or all three races, with Hope on the Run finisher medals being specially reserved for individuals who register for all three races. Hope on the Run is more than a series of races- it’s a movement that promotes wellness, fun, and community connection while giving participants the opportunity to make a tangible impact for vulnerable children and families.
