GSI Celebrates a Remarkable First Year, Thanks to Community Support

VENICE, FL – Global Sports Institute (GSI) has hit the ground running since opening its doors in July 2024, and in just five short months, we have built a thriving community dedicated to sports, wellness, and youth development.

With 152 youth athletes already participating across our teams, GSI is making waves in the local sports scene. This success reflects the passion and dedication of our athletes, as well as the incredible support from families, members, and local businesses.

As we continue to grow, GSI remains deeply committed to giving back to the community that has embraced us. This commitment inspired the creation of our nonprofit foundation: The Gershfeld & Shakirov Foundation for Youth Development. The foundation aims to provide resources and opportunities to young athletes, supporting their growth both on and off the field.

Support GSI Futures: Fundraising Raffle This Weekend

To celebrate our success and raise funds for GSI Futures, we are hosting a Fundraising Raffle this weekend. The funds raised will support scholarships, equipment, and expanded opportunities for young athletes in our programs.

Local businesses and individuals are invited to donate prizes, services, or monetary contributions to the raffle. This is a wonderful way to give back to the community and help GSI continue its mission of fostering the next generation of athletes.

In just five months since opening, GSI has welcomed over 2,450 visitors through our doors, transforming our facility into a vibrant hub of activity and connection. This October, we were proud to host our first college tournament, attracting talent and solidifying GSI as a premier venue for competitive sports. The energy, enthusiasm, and unwavering support from our community have been truly extraordinary, and this is only the beginning of an incredible journey. Together, we’re setting the stage for groundbreaking achievements, and we can’t wait to see what’s next.
