Emergency medical services expanding in Venice
What: HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital is expanding emergency medical services for Venice and the surrounding areas with the opening of HCA Florida Venice Doctors Emergency. Hospital leaders will provide an update on construction of a new freestanding emergency room, scheduled to open in mid-2025. Invited guests will be able to take a behind the scenes tour and sign an interior wall near the nurse’s station to leave their permanent mark on this new community resource.

- This is a new, state-of-the-art, freestanding emergency room serving residents in Venice and the surrounding areas
- Will add approximately 30 full time jobs to the community including: physicians, nurses, paramedics, radiology technicians, security guards and housekeeping staff
- The facility will cost roughly $13.6 million to build and equip with the latest medical technologies
- 10,860 square feet with 11 treatment rooms, including a dedicated area for EMS and trauma patients
