Celebrating 26 Years of Service in Our Community

Dollars For Mammograms, Inc. is celebrating 26 years of service in our community and honoring Kathleen Callahan, Xpertech Automotive, and Keith Rowley, Rowley Insurance, for their support of mission.

26 years of service

Since our inception in 2000, Dollars for Mammograms has provided thousands of women who are uninsured, under-insured, or unable to afford them with no-cost mammograms including the reading, and, when medically necessary, no-cost diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasounds, US Guided Biopsy, and MRI Guided Breast Biopsy.  Without our services, these women would not have received these expensive breast-health medical procedures or readings.

Serving Several Communities in Southwest Florida

Dollars for Mammograms serves women who live in these Florida communities: Englewood, Grove City, Cape Haze, Rotonda West, Placida, Boca Grande, Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, North Port and Venice.

Early Detection Leads to Higher Cure Rates

Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer among women with the exception of skin cancer.  It is the second-leading cause of cancer death in women, after lung cancer.  Florida ranks third in the nation for the number of new cases of breast cancer.  The good news is that breast cancer death rates are decreasing, largely due to early detection and newer, better treatments.  Breast cancer is curable if detected early.
