Job Summary
The Fire Sprinkler Assistant will perform project related tasks as directed which will include operating pipe machine, pipe installation and operating other related construction tools/equipment.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for assisting on assigned project tasks as directed by the Lead Technician
- Will operate company tools and equipment including a Ridgid 300 pipe machine for pipe grooving and threading
- Will be required to join pipes utilizing basic pipe joining techniques
- Maintain equipment, supplies and company vehicle (if supplied) in good working order
- Ability to work non-standard hours as required by the job or project
- Performs additional duties as needed
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Basic plumbing knowledge preferred, willing to train candidate with limited experience
- Working knowledge of basic pipe joining techniques
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Possess valid Florida Driver’s License and a clean DMV record in accordance with company policy
- Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel (Google Docs and Sheets)
- Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills
- Needs to be comfortable with heights, as the position will require the use of ladders and lifts.
